BPM College is pleased to announce the winners of the BPMREMIX competition featuring Blastoyz

On April 2019, we opened the competition for submissions and the amount of response was amazing: Hundreds of people downloaded the mix-pack, 76 of which submitted their very own Remix versions!

At this point, we’d like to thank each and every person who took part in this international competition.

So, for the winners:

First Place : Bengo

Ben tells us about the remix: “I used the provided channels in addition to effects and editing. I took it to the place I come from – Electronic Pop Music. That’s why I got a singer and wrote lyrics with the main lyric being the song’s name, Step Aside. Throughout the whole song, you can hear Blastoyz’s melodies, with a bit of variation and a different approach. As an example, in the drop, I took the original melody and pitched it down by 50%.”

Second Place: Alusin & Datlash

Michael and Noam tell us about the remix: “Michael and I are coming from 2 different worlds. He came from the Hardstyle, and me from the Deep house and Brazilian bass. We tried to make something new, something that includes both of the genres to surpass our “safe-zone” and improve our skills. I met Michael in one of the music groups we used to get help, and the rest is history. I think that the most unique thing in our remix is the differences between the producers who made it and the ability to connect our brains and make something we like. Hope you liked it too!”

Tronsho tells us about the remix: “I let my imagination lead the creation of this Remix, and just got flow with it. :)”

Crowd Favorite: Greentech & Valhalla Duo

Gabriel & Valhalla Duo tell us about the remix: “We knew about the contest 3 days before the submission deadline. So we rushed in order to finish all Ideas in time. We’ve been big fans of Blastoyz’s music for many years and just to participate in this contest is an honor! So we try to follow the structure of actual tracks on the market. More short, and straight to the point. Before we started the work on our Remix, we haven’t listened to any other remixes, to not “pollute the mind” with external ideas, and make something unique from our heart. So, we hope you like it. Stay psychedelic.”

Surprise Bonus Winner: Psilocybe Project!

Ricardo tells us about the remix: “During the development of this remix I challenged myself at every crossroad to chose to do the opposite of what I usually and naturally do, therefore forcing me to go out of my comfort zone and by consequence stimulating creativity. Thank you for this opportunity it was a great and fun experience!”
